Airbus Defence and Space Cyber is thrilled to announce that we have officially joined the Bavarian Alliance Against Disinformation as a tech partner (Bayern-Allianz gegen Desinformationen), an initiative by the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs!
In an era marked by escalating global conflicts, information warfare activities—particularly the spread of disinformation—have surged dramatically. These malicious campaigns not only seek to sway public opinion but also aim to undermine democracies and fracture societies.
Launched by Bavarian Minister for Digital Affairs, Dr. Fabian Mehring, in May 2024, the Bavarian Alliance Against Disinformation brings together technology companies, public organizations, and other partners across Bavaria. The alliance's mission is to raise public awareness and build resilience against disinformation.
Our Commitment to the Fight Against Disinformation
At Airbus Defence and Space Cyber, combating cyber threats and disinformation is a cornerstone of our mission. To this end, we actively participate in the EUCINF consortium, sponsored by the European Defence Fund. This initiative strengthens our capabilities in countering cyberattacks, manipulated information, fake news, disinformation, and propaganda.
In January 2026, we officially joined the Bavarian Alliance Against Disinformation to support local efforts in tackling disinformation and making a positive impact on Bavarian society. One of our key contributions is the development of an educational tool for elementary and middle school students. This platform aims to raise awareness, promote critical engagement with information and news, and enhance media literacy skills. The content is designed with cutting-edge technologies—such as AI—in mind and reflects realistic social media activities.
